Getting the Correct Visa to live in México

Can't Post |
I am a retired person with a pension and I´m planning on retiring to Puerta Vallarta in April. Can anyone tell me what visa I need in order to transport some household items and to keep my vehicle permanently in México. Also, is it better to get this visa prior to departure or after I am living there? What documentation do I need to aquire the proper visa? Thanks for your responses.
