We have lots of tacos stands in Lerdo, but we have never had fish tacos until now.
My friend Nery and I ODed on them for Sunday brunch today.
Very good. Look here: http://rollybrook.com/fish_tacos.htm

Congrats, Rolly. Those look delicious!

Here in La Paz, ceviche and tacos de pescado y de camaron are loved by all, and stands are found everywhere. We're a seaside town, though. I wonder where they get their fish in Lerdo?

I'm also curious about "Cuba" in the name.

Ceviche is easy to make at home, even for me, and I barely cook. Maybe you can talk Ernesto or Uncle Toño into sharing some secrets.

¡Buen' provecho!

Kate

Cuba is the name of the neighborhood (colonia).

Wow, Rolly, those are big! Most fish tacos I've eaten are made of 'fish pieces'. And you guys ate 5-6 of them?

Me llamo El Puerco. Nery también.

When I go with my three English students to a buffet, I eat the least and the other two guys eat more than Nery.
The buffet people don't make money from us.

That's too bad, Sparks.
Thus far my students and I have been to three all-you-can-eat buffets.
We know of two more that we have not tried.
Two of our buffets included free sodas; one changed extra for drinks which we didn't know about until the bill came.

Sirloin Stockade; Amazonia (not a buffet, though), both in Morelia.
Numerous toda la carne que quieras comer places; never tried any.

Also in Morelia: Iguazú (another Brazilian all you can eat meat-on-swords place with an all you can eat salad bar), a seafood place called La Bamba or something like that on Av. Camelinas where you pay one price and order anything you want from the menu--as many times as you want--and a few other places around town that offer all-you-can-eat. These are not necessarily restaurant recommendations, just saying they are here.

Morelianos seem to love to eat and their restaurants love to feed them. There are too numerous all-you-can-eat places to name. A favorite buffet I can't remember the name of at the moment is in Chapultepec Norte on Batalla Angostura near the corner of Xicotencatl - great menudo as part of their breakfast buffet on weekends. Amazonia is pricey with meat on swords till you never want to see another cow or fowl - though I hear there are better and lower-cost Brazillian espada carne places I have never tried.

No reason for anyone to leave a restaurant hungry in Morelia. Plenty reason to walk and get lots of exercise here.
