To clarify -- I am in Cozumel and I just renewed my FM3 for the 5th time. So, I will have to apply for a new one next year. In the past, at renewal time, I have always just downloaded my U.S. bank statements and submitted them with a letter from my pension company stating the amount I receive each month (that is the same letter I used when I initially applied for the visa.) We have a new immigration head in Cozumel now. So, I'm afraid things might change. I plan to talk with the guy directly but I wanted to get a feel for what the law actually is. If it's only proof of income, it would seem that the letter from the pension company should be enough. However, if it's just a bureaucratic requirement of 3 months of statements -- logic is not relevant. That's my story. I appreciate everyones input. Gwen Gregory
