Checking Visa Status

My Residente Permenente was filed on August 28th. I keep checking my status and it has remained the same. Is this always up to date, or should I check in at the office soon?

Patricia,
I submitted my paperwork on August 28th also. The INM website for tracking applications has not been updated since Sept. 2, which from my past experience I don't think is normal. I am told with this new process that it could take three weeks for the new cards to be ready. I am going to wait one more week and then call the INM office to check the status......that is if the website is not updated. Good luck!

If its not difficult for you to go check, I would stop in and check every 2 weeks. INM does a really spotty job of updating the INM website status on immigrant's applications.

Exactly the same for me this time. Aug 28th with last update Sept 2. I did stop by yesterday and the new girl there said to check back in another week. Last time my updates showed quickly...seems strange that it only shows the original registration. Guess I just have to wait and see.

Just to update what is happening on Cozumel. I went to the office yesterday only to find out that for the last 2 months there has been no one to sign the paperwork. Yesterday our INM office sent application packs recieved during August and September over to Cancun for processing, something like 50 applications. At least I know it was not something I did wrong.
