Canadian sub-contracting to U.S., wants to move to Mexico

Hello Everyone, I'm a 35 year old self-employed Canadian (living in Canada). I've worked for the past 4 years via the internet in the engineering/architectural field providing services to companies in the U.S. Basically I'm getting tired of the winters and with the type of work I do, I feel "Why not live where you want to?”. I came across an article at http://www.wealthyboomer.com/m_artiss1_5.asp about a semi-retired stock trader, who moved to Mexico from Canada that sparked my interest. I was wondering if anyone has any information about how the taxation system would work with my situation. If I live in Mexico would I have to pay taxes on my income earned from U.S. based companies through self-employment to Mexico, Canada and/or the U.S? I know this is probably a question for the Can. government, IRS and Mexican government, but thought I would start here to see if anyone else was in this type of situation and could offer any advice. My girlfriend and I will be vacationing in Mexico soon, for our second time, to confirm our aspirations. I’m sure I have my work cut out with researching everything involved with such a move – any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick
