touch it with a 304.8 cm pole. I suppose if you have your heart set on that particular car (as if there are no others) you could buy it, drive it back to the states, hope there won't be any problems at the retenes in route, and take care of the ownership transfer. If the car has been in MX for a very long time then the old permit may not have made it into the new system. Assuming all that is true then you could get a new 180 day permit and take the car back. In 6 months you'd be right back where you started (unless, of course, you have an FM3). Or you could buy it, drive it around and hope it doesn't get confiscated one day. "No pasa nada" is a very common expression, for some its a lifestyle. Regularization opportunities for vehicles illegally in Mexico come and go, does anyone have the latest "chocolate" report? Alex
