Bringing in CDs and books on an FM-3

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have an extensive collection of books and CDs, and want to bring some of them with me on an FM-3 in a few months. Does anyone have an idea how many of these Mexican customs is likely to find reasonable as part of my household possessions?

Should I want to being some more of them in later on, how much duty could I expect to pay?

Books are always duty free. Small quanities (20 or so) of CDs are also free.

If you are bringing the things with a menaje de casa, I don't know that there is any limit on CDs. I brought 300 on my menaje. I also brought 12 boxes of books (around 200), but you could bring any number.

If you don't know about a menaje de casa, click here http://rollybrook.com/...o_move_to_mexico.htm
