Bank holiday Monday?

Can't Post | Private Reply
Since New Year's Day is a holiday, and since it falls on Sunday this year, does that mean that tomorrow/Monday is a legal/bank holiday?

On Friday I went to my check cashing bank, C I Banco, to cash a check on my USA bank, which I do twice a month for living expenses. There was a sign on the door that said they were not cashing foreign checks that day (it was open for, apparently all other business). I was so upset that I don't remember what the rest of the note said - whether it would be open on Monday or Tuesday.

Any information about this will be greatly appreciated.

It seems like the Battle of Puebla has been changed from May 5 to April 9.

Thank you.

I really took my eye off the ball on this one. Not being able to use ATMs really requires planning ahead.

Today, Monday, Jan. 2, DEFINITELY was NOT a Mexican Federal Holiday, and, at least in Mazatlán was not a bank holiday either. Did business at the bank just like any other weekday.

I think we can safely say that the only consistent thing about Mexico is its inconsistency.
