Not sure what you mean by the "credit system in Mexico"......
We have had an account with Bancomer for over 15 yrs in my husband's name but with me as a signer.......applied for a credit card......they gave us the platinum card with a large credit allowance-1 for ea of us........when the exorbitant fee arrived, we cancelled it & said we wanted a card with the lowest fee. Remember that we used the card & paid it off monthly, in full......
The guy said to come back in 2 weeks..............went back still no card................went back 2 weeks later & he finally admitted that the bank had refused to issue the card in my husband's name since he was over 75 yr. old! When I pointed out the fact that we had had the other card as recently as a month ago, he informed me that they had made an error....for over a year!!!!???
What we did was to cancel the checking account & re-opened it in MY name. Then getting the card was no problem BUT no card for my husband! Much lower credit balance but use it every month for the cell phone bill.
Sometimes we feel like we are in Oz!
