You should take the copy of the marriage certificate to Immigration now, so that they can place it with your file. Shouldn't be an issue. They will already have all the records for the marriage application approval and need the marriage certificate to complete the file. (I submitted mine rather late too, no problem) Your baby's birth should be registered in your home country if you want he or she to have dual citizenship. A friend of ours from the USA, and living permanently in Mazatlan has both his Mexican niños births registered in the USA. He explained that this gives them options for the future. Congratulations on the baby!
