marriage and things to do

I think I have messed up. I married a mexican woman in May here in Mexico. I just realized that I have not notifiied Immigration of my status change. What if any are the consequences of this?

Additionally I would like to notify the U.s. of the marriage how does one do this?

Lastly we are having a baby in October any tips on things i need to do?

You should take the copy of the marriage certificate to Immigration now, so that they can place it with your file. Shouldn't be an issue. They will already have all the records for the marriage application approval and need the marriage certificate to complete the file. (I submitted mine rather late too, no problem)

Your baby's birth should be registered in your home country if you want he or she to have dual citizenship. A friend of ours from the USA, and living permanently in Mazatlan has both his Mexican niños births registered in the USA. He explained that this gives them options for the future.

Congratulations on the baby!

Sooo... that brings up a curious question in my mind. What if they want to move to the US? Does his wife have to qualify for a Visa in the typical way? Or... is it totally different? Would it have been easier if they had applied for a fiance visa and then got married in the US?

tons of questions, assuming much...

They have no plans to move to the USA. They want to live in Mexico and raise the children here. The plan, as I understand it, is to give the children options when they are adults.
