Whats the Fall weather like where you are in Mexico?

Sorry, I wanted to get a new thread happening here, and they say talking about the weather is good if all else fails. So how can you tell it's Fall where you live in Mexico? It is still really hot and sunny here in Mazatlan but the days are getting noticeably shorter and the sun seems to be changing position. Lots of people on the beach. The kids look so hot in their school uniforms as they trudge along in the heat. Is there any sign of cooler weather inland yet?

I know we live in the same place but I have to agree, it's been hot. I've seen it hotter in previous years although I'm still using the AC. At least the rains finally came and the place is green. I've been bitten more in the last three weeks by mosquitos than ever before. It's the month of October, over here on the coast that we all seem to dread. We are tired of the heat and can't wait for that change back to winter weather. I've seen it change almost overnight, the AC's are turned off and the blankets come out of the closet. Ah for such a night! In one sense, I hate to see it leave because that means the biggest days of surf will be gone and I'll have to walk the malecon for exercise. Life will he a bit hellish again. The snowbirds flock to the downtown and people call you by name but you've forgotten theirs. People with places for rent are spiffin up the places and hoping for a killing this year. Will tourism be better this time around? It's quiet and warm but the beach breezes bring the folks down to the malecon from the outlying colonias for a refreshing evening.

Hi, Here at lakeside, Lake Chapala, the weather is at it's best. It is in the rainy season so everything is green or full of flowers. The days get up to maybe 80% and at night go down. The air is clean and fresh smelling with the rain every 2 or 3 nights. Wear a short sleeved shirt in the day and sleep under a blanket at night. It just doesn't get any better.

In San Miguel de Allende it is also the perfect time, occasional rain since it is still rainy season through October, and that usually means a nice comfortable rain for about an hour in the late afternoon or early evening. The rains mean everything is lush and green and flowers are in full bloom. I'd say it's 70-80 highs this time of year, 50-60 lows.

All the rains and hurricane fallout have also created flooding conditions in this region and about 4 people have died in the floods. Some roads are still out and some towns are still in trouble. Our dam is at 92% capacity. So there is a downside to this particularly wet rainy season.

I hear Lake Chapala is up quite a bit, though, so that's another positive.

Hold onto that weather Jerry, we'll be back in Ajijic in 3 weeks. We can tell its fall here in the Gatineau Hills just north of Ottawa 'cause its cloudy, rainy and daytime highs are now in the 50's. Hell, we even need blankets for a siesta!

If you don’t like the weather in Morelia, wait five minutes. It’ll change. It’s still rainy here. One minute the sky can resemble Windows wallpaper, and in the blink of an eye, can change to run-for-shelter gloom. Last Friday as I was getting dressed to go downtown, I seriously considered putting on a wool sweater. By the time I reached downtown, I realized what a foolish notion that would’ve been, because Centro was steaming with humidity. I started yesterday with a thin linen blouse, and by evening I had a sweater on. Today it’s been in the low 60s at my house.
