What's Wrong With Mexico

I found this to be a fascinating and informative talk by Denise Dresser, Mexican political analyst, writer and professor. I think she hits all of the nails on the head and I admire her courage and honesty for stating it publicly and internationally. It's long but worth the time to listen to when you have the time.

Denise Dressler is a superb columnist, published in oodles of Mexican newspapers. Unfortunately she has little presence in the US press, possibly because she never was a government official like Jorge Castañeda. Nevertheless listening to her for more than an hour is beyond my attention span, especially since the video is an hour long. How about a synopsis?

Watched the whole thing. Thanks. Even though her talk is over a year and a half old, I doubt she'd change much.

FYI: To others, if you go to the original YouTube link....there's a 9-minute-ish clip from the same address linked off to the side. Look for her wearing red in front of the UC Berkeley banner.
