Volvos in Mexico

Can't Post | Private Reply
Sold my car last month and thought of buying and importing an 80's model Volvo from San Diego to Tijuana. I was warned that this vehicle might be restricted for importation. Could that be true? Perhaps there exists a blacklist of cars out there somewhere. I'd like to find out which vehicle can and can't be imported. I couldn't really figure a proper google search for finding such info. Any suggestions? What did Volvos do to deserve this?

Hi

It's just Mexican bureacracy! I am driving a Volvo in Europe,

a great car, but I can not export it to Mexico. However, what

you can do is to keep the car registered outside Mexico and use it

in Mexico with a foreign car licence! That works! Enjoy your Volvo!
