This video is an apt reminder for today.

Also why we are at war in Mexico (and everywhere in the world):

As it was, I donīt think a SPANIARD, reading a script and emulating the character in a British movie who was wearing a disguise meant to invoke a British historical reference... was going to get across whatever point the group was trying to make. As I recall, that movie was something of a flop here in Mexico, and I don't know how many people would have gotten the reference to it anyway.

The guy (or Guy?) speaking in a Castillian accent alone makes it appear like just another foreign intervention into Mexican affairs by outsiders.

Actually I was referring to the mask in the movie not the accent or even what was being said. The links I posted were for articles about Mexican Government websites being hacked by Anonymous Group, one of their symbols is the Guy Fawkes masks popularized by the comic book and film V for Vendetta. I do not know if the OP was referring to the hacking or not that is why I asked.

I think we're talking about the same thing, Y. I don't think the film (or the comic book) has much significance here, nor Guy Fawkes. Coupled with a Castiliian voice-over, the whole thing looks to be put together by people not particularly knowledgeable of Mexico or Mexican sensibilities, and likely to be attributed to arrogant foreign twits... which it may well be.
