Recently, I spent a few days in Aranda, Jal., Mx. as well as 3 days in Tequila, Jal. I discovered that Arandas is every bit as much a Tequila center as Tequila. The difference is that Tequila has promoted itself while Arandas has not. There are organized tours, tour buses, and a festive atmosphere. While Arandas has none of this and is much more business like with hardly any tourist promotions. In fact, I found that 2 Tequila Fabricas did not do tours. What Arandas has is a very beautiful town, and rural Agave growing area. Not to mention about 11 Fabricas within a 7 mile radius. They just seem to go about thier business of planting, growing, harvesting, transporting, cooking, and squeezing out every last drop of agave juice for the most delectible illixer. The only thing that caused me to leave was my liver, hehe Bob
