Single parent's child entry into Mexico

Can't Post | Private Reply
My daughter recently gave us a beautiful granddaughter. As things happen, she was not married and the birth certificate does not name a father. She would like to visit Mexico again, but is concerned about her ability to obtain entry with her daughter. Does anyone have information about this? Can she enter Mexico with her daughter? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

The girl's birth certificate should be evidence enough that your daughter is the sole parent. There should be no problem entering Mexico. Be sure the birth certificate has a raised seal. Of course, that's the official (state) certificate, not the one many hospitals give out.
