Shipping to USA

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a good day.

I'm an American living in Guadalajara and don't have any experience using the post office here. My brother wants me to send him one of those Club America soccer jerseys -- You can buy them for around 450 pesos or so here.
My questions are -- will there be any sort of customs taxes/duties (Mexico or USA)? Also, I have heard that the registered mail airmail is fast and efficient, is that true? I checked Fedex,UPS, DHL etc and they were just to expensive.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Anthony, perhaps someone reading this, in the expat community who is heading home could take it and mail it for you State side. It won't take much room if packed in a padded envelope. That's what many expats do. Good luck.

P.S. Club America rocks!

I can't believe that you can find an América jersey in the home of the Chivas. Go ahead and mail it certified. There are no duties on clothing and it should take around 5 to 9 days (could be sooner) to get to the US address, but that depends on the speed of the burro to get that package to the border.
