As a new subscriber to Mexconnected, I never had the incredible opportunity to chat with Mr. Lenchek; however, after reading his wonderful, enlightening articles on a vast array of subjects, concerning Mexico and her history, I feel as if I knew him for the past twenty years. I read every one of his articles in this month's edition before I even noticed the note at the top of the site. I guess I was just excited to get to the new insights into Mexico from different contributors. After the first couple of articles, I began to wonder if Mr. Lenchek was the "show cased" writer this month. Again paying no attention to previous posts or the note, I kept reading. "What a fountain of wonderful information," I thought, "This guy must be the ultimate resource for anything in Mexico." Then I began to realize that some posts were from several years ago. Being the "Curious George" that I am, I began to investigate why the posts were dated. Only then did I find the note about Mr. and Mrs. Lenchek's unfortunate passing. I was saddened by the fact that I would never have the opportunity to chat with them, but then I realized that was a selfish reason. I pray that these two souls are in a better place, and I aspire to become the type of person they both became. From all that I was able to learn from their obituary and the posts from other members, I came to the conclusion that they were wonderful people and the best friends one could want. May their memory live forever in the hearts of those who loved them, and may their lives and selflessness be an example to us all. God speed to Shep and Ruth. What a tremendous salute by the editor and his staff. Whole-heartedly, SATMAN "Some will bitch about a dollar, while there are those without a dime."
