Real Mexican Cowboys (charros)

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have been wanting to make the photgraphic and editoral comparsions between our west Texas cowboys and Mexican Cowboys. Does anyone know of a ranch that would be accessible for me to photograph. I would like to find somthing that could remind us of a time in the 1800's, when life was about living from the land.

Please let me know if you have any connection or who I might contact

I think the roots go back much farther than West Texas cowboys and mexican cowboys to indigenous character qualities. I don't think you will have to dig to far into the literature to find something. It would be worth following this thread all the way down to Hollywood movies of the 30's, 40's, and 50's; and include Hollywood western music.
