Yesterday, Sunday shoppers at the Lerdo Mercado were treated to a rare event -- four opera singers masquerading as vendors sang various opera selection a cappella. The event was a huge success.
It had been well publicized, so there was a large crowd in the Mercado.
Similar events have been staged in many European cities. One was recently staged in Tijuana.
