Nogales - Moving you personal items

Has anyone with a Menaje de Casa actually driven their household items through the Nogales border crossing? If so, would you please share your experience with us. I hear/see lots of conflicting information - eg, whether a customs broker is needed.

Anyone know of a good customs broker in Nogales or a way to get a list of brokers?

We will be in Mazatlan starting Thursday, for 10 days, and then moving there permanently in September. Maybe we will finally meet some of you wonderful folks.

Cheers from Colorado,

Dave & Maureen :)

We consulted several sources before moving our menaje de casa (Mexican Consul, Aduana, Migración). All of them said that a customs broker must be used.

My friend uses "Bonorand Gamas", the agent is Juan P. Quihuis M. His telephone # in Nogales, MX is 631-312-01-12 and the Bonorand Warehouse in Nogales, AZ # is 520-281-9791. You can drop off your things at the warehouse and then go towards the border, park your car, and walk across the border to their office to do the paperwork. Good luck.
