New AARP article on living cheaply in Mexico

A 50-something couple between jobs decided to tour the gringo retirement colonies of Mexico and rate them. Their article will draw many more gringos here, I am sure.

They say, for example, that it is possible to live fairly well in some areas for $700 a month. They never mention that you need to have $1100 a month guaranteed income to be accepted for an FM3 status or that it might be a bit more difficult than just picking up and moving.

San Miguel comes off as heaven, Lakeshore not so high, and an area north of Puerta Villarta as the place where the writers are now looking for property.

Great article Carol. My computer did find and "kill " a virus that it contained. Anybody else have that happen?
