I found Villa Hidalgo, Zacatecas on my map, it is a very small town, between Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, and Aguacallentes. Have you tried a letter? In a small town, everybody knows everybody. You could send a couple of letters, one addressed to him and one addressed to his mother. Even if you do not have a street address they might get it. The Dom Con Caballerias is the equivalent of the street address, I believe. Villa Hidalgo has the area code of 496. The number 65-55-76 looks like an old style phone number. I think in the new scheme of numbers it would convert to 965-55-76, for a total phone number of 011-52-496-965-55-76. You did not say if you spoke spanish, but there are a lot of people from Zacatecas in the US. You might be able to get one of them to make some phone calls for you, they probably know how to work the system. The people from Zacatecas living in the US are really organized, they have social clubs and do economic development work for their hometowns. You might even find somebody going home who could do some legwork for you, you have a story which would melt the heart of most folks. Are there mexican businesses in Boise? Start there, go in person. You could probably find some of the Zacatecas clubs on the internet with a google search. You could also write to the newspaper in the city of Zacatecas, they print a lot of notes from their compatriates in the US. I would use that as a last resort. http://www.imagenzac.com.mx/ or email to municipio58@imagenzac.com.mx On careful consideration, I would suggest that you write two letters, one addressed to him and one addressed to his mother. That might solve the problem directly, although it might take a few days for the letter to get there. I would wait two weeks from mailing the letter before contacting the Zacatecas clubs or the newspaper. I am sure that other people will have other ideas. Good luck and God Bless. http://www.fergusonsculpture.com
