Mexico Ads all over TV channels

Can't Post |
I have been surprised over the last week that while watching Food Network, Bravo and HGTV there are a huge number of ads for visiting Mexico - really good ads, not focused on the usual coast beach vacations but cities, history and architecture - they were on periodically thru out the late afternoon and much more prolific on the night time line up. The "visitors" were all 50ish-type couples - whomever did these ads sure placed them well and knew their market...even my husband a non-TV watcher said 2 caught his eye on Sunday evening while he was passing thru the room.

Unfortunately he didn't think we should hurry up and get there quicker because of them, but I tried...

Anybody else seen them?

I've seen them on Food Network and agree, they're excellent. "Mexican vacations: not just for drunken spring break anymore."

Oh, they must be trying to promote Mazatlán.

Actually, if they're the same ads I'm seeing here in Ajijic, they are promoting Colonial Mexico, the ruins in the southern states, parks and rivers, etc. The ads are beautiful.
