Married in Texas Legal in Mexico

Me and my wife was married in texas Feb of this year and we are in the process of getting our marriage license appostilled however you spell that word? Once we get that and then we register it here in mexico what does that do for my living status here can i apply for residence or what can i do I currently come here on a fmt and sometimes its difficult to do things with a fmt but i can not meet the money requirement for a fm3 she is a english teacher here and owns a small english school and i sometimes help her out but want to try to make all this totally legal can somebody please help me in what to do? Thanks for any help somebody can help me with.
