Lost Passport?

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hi all,

I'll be heading to Mexico in 30 days and I was getting all my stuff together and realized that my passport is MIA. I've got all my Mexico auto insurance papers, vehicle papers, cancelled vehicle permit and my last FMT but I can't find my passport anywhere. I go to Mexico several times a year and have done so for years but always with a passport. I'm going to file for a new one and report this one lost but I doubt I'll receive a new one before I leave. So my question is: Can Americans still travel in Mexico with just their birth certificate and drivers license?

You can also go to the appropriate post office (call and ask) and file for a replacement. For an extra fee you can have your new one in about two weeks.
