Is there homeowner's insurance in Mexico?

I mean which covers things such as theft of personal property; damges from vandalism, storms, personal liability if someone is injured on your property or someone breaks into your car and steals some personal property?

Just curious.

Thanks.

Yes. All kinds of coverage are available. It may pay to "shop around" for the particular coverage(s) you want.

Yes there is...some choose to buy it, others spend what they would have spent on premiums to make their homes more secure and are careful to not present opportunities for petty theft by leaving doors or windows unlocked, etc.

Because of the lack of combustible material used in residential construction, fire insurance is viewed by many as a waste of money.

If you do buy insurance examine the small print very carefully - you may not be buying what you think you are - same goes for auto comprehensive insurance. Buena Suerte.

We purchased our home insurance and car insurance from Lloyd and feel very comfortable. It is probably a little more than some companies but it is one of the largest and strongest company in Mexico.
