I don't have a fixed income so how do I

meet the FM-3 requirement?

I have been a professional/business person all my life and I have money enough to retire in Mexico, it's in banks and assets but nothing with regular deposits.

I'm reading I need to show regular deposits of a thousand or more dollars a month to get the FM-3. How about a good six figure bank account?

Thoughts/Suggestions?

Thanks.

With x$ from your six-figure bank account. Deposit x$ into your six-figure bank account. Repeat each month. It's not the balance of your six-figure bank account that matters, it's the cycling of funds into that account which counts.

Seems like a lot of game playing and putting form over substance.

I guess Bill Gates couldn't qualify for the FM-3.

And if I'm going to do it that way, I probably should open a separate account otherwise the bank statement will show like the burger place, "In and Out."

Thanks.

If you are to enjoy your Mexican experience learn to adapt to the Mexican way and enjoy.

It's really just meeting a bureaucratic requirement in a practical way. Mexico just doesn't care where the deposits come from--as long as they appear in your bank account. In most cases, it's really the US Consualte who must be "fooled" since inmigracion (here in Guanajuato, anyway) wants a consular letter verifying the deposits.
