How long?

will these fora remain retrievable? And how far back do they go? I have plans to go through all the postings and make a notebook of subjects that I want to keep for future reference and travel. I won't be able to get to that project for a few months, and I'm afraid postings will go into never-neverland the day before I get to them.

Some of the posts go all the way back to 1919.

When the forum software was changed, the dates of some ancient posts reverted to 1919 for some reason. A thread's longevity depends upon the forum and its moderator. Time-sensitive posts such as those announcing something will take place on a particular date, those which are simply chatter and cheerful noise, those lacking in substance, and those which aren't really worth archiving are deleted.

As long as you're a Mexconnect subscriber, and as long as your computer's functioning, you should be able to rely upon being able to retrieve what's worth retrieving for the next year or so.
