Home winemaker wishes to bring wine to Mexico.

Here's hoping someone can clear the air for me on this one.

I have a small wine grape vineyard in the States. I make wine in small quantities for friends and family, and would very much like to bring wine to share with friends in Mexico during the months we live there. Within reason, payment of a duty for the wine would be fine with me, but because it is made by me, there is no way I can declare the value of the same.

Anyway, my hope would be to bring approximately 25 to 35 bottles each winter to share with my wine thirsty friends south of the border. Can this be done without resorting to the "wink and a nod and $10 bill" routine? Would prefer to do this within the dictates of the law.

Thanks in advance,

Allan

For that quantity, you would need to be a business with an import license from México.
