I am looking for information on the town of Ascencion in the state of Chihuahua. My Grandfather used to tell me his uncle, a priest, took his parishioners from New Mexico to old Mexico and founded the town. The only verification I have found is that it was founded by Mexicans from the US. I would like to veryfy my Grandfather's version. A point of contact familiar with the history would be helpful.
