Thank you, UJ. Having had the pleasure of living in or near Santa Fe, Berkeley and Santa Monica, all oozing political correctness, I was smitten and your story brought a tear to my eye. I think we gringos need to start a movement to do the same thing for humans in the back of pickups here in Mexico. I'm electing Uncle Donnie chairman of the steering committee since he has been trying to trick me into running for office in the Ajijic forum. Unfortunately, my schedule is too busy and I will be unable to participate.

That dog restraint thing is not exactly new. California has had a restraint law for dogs and people in the back of trucks for several years. My dogs hate it.

Lord boys and girls, they're already embarrased themselves with this show up in Texas. While I was visiting my daughter in Frisco we had to drive over to Plano to let the dogs run loose in a dog park. And a leash is absolutely required if you want to walk your dog in a neighborhood.

And in some towns you can no longer let your dog ride in the bed of the truck at all.

And Bubba, I swear I ain't tryin' to trick ya; just think of the power you'd have to prevent this kind of nonsense down here if you were elected king. I think I feel a grassroots movement crankin' up.

Bubba;

You gotta quit being coy with us. We mean it! This is the real deal! With you as King and Uncle Donnie as Communications Director, we could get things turned around here in a hurry. With the popular mandate that we're sure you would have, you would be invincible.

I, of course, would be willing to accept a position as your Palace Chief of Staff if asked and serve at the pleasure of the King.

I remain, as always, your humble servant.

Viva Bubba for El Suprimo Whatever.

I of course volunteer to be your tequila tester knowing that the El Suprimo whatever would only drink the best.

I remain, as always, your unhumble servant, as long as you are in power, or until you start consuming the cheap stuff.

Before you volunteer for Palace taster/tester, you should know that you'd be responsible for tasting all food and potables consumed. Whereas Bubba and especially Uncle Donnie are known to be "Ultimate Omnivores" you might find the job a bit challenging.

Tio Jack, as interesting as the job sounds I have to refer you back to my original post. I have only volunteered as the Tequilla tester, and only if Bubba is drinking the good stuff. By limiting my scope I have left more jobs available for those that want to get on Bubba's Band Wagon or Tequilla express as it might be more accurately described.

King B, do you see this? The grass is rooting and the ground is swelling!!!! Your public is clamoring for real leadership; and I've already got interns lined up---granted, the youngest is 63, but she has her own beret.

And I've already shaved my head like Carville.

I smell VICTORY!

Geez:

My last post edited itself. I'll abbreviate it.

To my loyal subjects:

Let's have a look at that intern before we jump to conclusions UJ.

The only tequila is Herradura Blanco 85 proof.

If drafted I shall not serve.
