I need all the help i can get right now. My husband and i are on our way to Juarez for his immigrant visa interview soon.. I am curious of what they will be asking him/us. We have only been married a year. A customs officer at the border asked me if we were practicing our Q and A yet. but i dont know what to practice. If anyone has any advice , we would absolutly love it.. thanks

K Visa FAQ

We stopped short of the interview but I partispated in this newsgroup for almost a year. Take a look at the link below.
6.11.3)...What kind of questions will they ask in the interview?
A..(newsgroup)..Our AoS interview was very chatty and astoundingly mundane (where do you both work; how did you meet; did you marry within 90 days of K-1 entry). Married couples will have no difficulty with the interview.
A..(newsgroup)..All we had to do was show a few documents - bills, tax returns, apartment lease, that showed we were living together as a married couple. We can't remember what the other questions were, but they were pretty trivial. It was a breeze.
A..(newsgroup)..For the Adjustment of Status (I-485) Interview, you must prove that you are a viable married couple that is living together as husband and wife at a common address. Letters from friends who know this are useful...as of May 1998, the INS still considers those letters to be useful evidence.

questions they asked us

Describe the floor plan of your apartment.
What color is the bathroom painted?
Does you daughter have a pet?
What is the pet's name?
What became of the pet?
Does your wife cook?
What is your favorite dish that she prepares?
In this photo of you at the beach, isn't this beach in the US?
Do you know (to her) his mother?
In our case some of the questions were designed to test for previous visits to the US. The beach was actuall Playas in Tijuana, as evidenced by the graffiti on the sea wall, and my wife only recognised my mother via photos and had never met her personally.
You know where to stay, where to get the medical, where to get in line, that you will have to pay various fees that day whether the visa is granted or not, that you will be forced to cross that day at one of the three El Paso ports of entry if the visa is granted, all that , right?
Alex

When we went, I wasn't allowed in with my husband, even though it was a visa through marriage. Good luck. Prepare for all! H.
