Getting auto insurance before entering Mexico

Can't Post | Private Reply
What is the best way to get auto insurance, including the all-important bail/jail assistance coverage before entering Mexico with my car? Any referrals on the NOB side other than the ones which specialize in the 1-10 days policies?

Thanks.

Email Raquel Reyes at rachelins@prodigy.net.mx. She's right here in Chapala. Tell her exactly what you want (comprehensive or liability, legal, bail bond, etc), give her the make, model, year, and VIN of your vehicle--plus the book value--and she will send you a quote for a year, if that's what you want. Tell her the day you want the coverage to start (the day you plan to cross the border). Then she can write up your policy and fax you a copy and bingo. She handles Seguros Comercial Américas, a national company in Mexico.
