FM-2 and Restrictions

My understanding is that another potentially important restriction of an FM2 is that the holder is not permitted to be outside of Mexico for more than (90?) days in a year.<p>This makes some sense given that the intent of an FM2 is for "immigrant residents". But some immigrant residents may find the 90 days pretty limiting, especially if they have work and/or personal obligations that are international in nature. (For example, an FM2 holder whose parents become ill in their home country and the FM2 holder returns home to care for the ill parent for several months.)
