Daylight Saving Time (again)

Sunday, March 14, is the day to advance your clock one hour in the USA, Canada, and most of the cities along the Mexican border with the USA. The rest of México's clocks will move ahead on Sunday, April 4 -- Easter. Except, of course, Sonora which never goes on DST.

There is an interesting time zone map of México here. http://www.worldtimezone.com/time-mexico12.php

Thanks for the reminder, Rolly, though I've never understood why Mexico goes on DST in the first place!

And for the municipality we live in , Bahia de Banderas, Nayarit, April 4th marks our move officially into the Central time zone. This will (hopefully) end the ages old problem of Bahia de Banderas, which includes Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerias, Sayulita and San Pancho, among others, being in a different time zone than Puerto Vallarta. Since the airport is in PV, the time zone difference was important to note. Bahia de Banderas will be the only municipality in Nayarit to be in central time, not mountain.

There is an interesting and amusing video about DST here. It's slow to load and begins with a short ad.

It was part of NAFTA.
