Bring fish into Mexico

Any knowledge base for bringing/taking a few fish (salmon, trout, etc) into Mexico for personal use? ie: restrictions like beef or taxes, etc. Did forum search and found nothing helpful. Thanks

No fresh or frozen food or plants allowed. Unopened package goods and cans are generally OK.

Bringing fish to Mexico is like taking coals to Newcastle. We get great salmon at Cosco, Walmart, Sam's,etc. Fish is easy to come by in most areas of Mexico. The weekly marrket has red snapper, shrimp, etc. Bring good sheets,blankets,..something hard to come by in Mexico..
