Another question about FM-3s

Can a married couple, assuming that they have a steady monthly income of over $2000 deposited to their joint bank account, get two separate FM-3s, and thus have two chances to bring their household goods into Mexico duty-free?

Yes. But it would be best for each to have the funds used to fulfill their financial requirements deposited to separate bank accounts. And don't forget -- the permit to temporarily import household goods duty-free must be issued within the first six months of the issuance of the FM-3.
