A project which I did with a Mexican guitar player, ( Marcos), and an Argentinian, ( Salvador). I recorded the Timbales and Steve did the Congas. I'm the person with the red top in the video, and all the Conga players were in my Percussion Training. On, Youtube.com, with the name. "TABU TRIBUTE BAND.' Also check more videos at Youtube.com, with the name, 'Zaragemca'. Gerry Zaragemca, is a World's known authority in Afro Cuban Percussion and Music.

You'd get more viewers if you'd include the URL to your video.

I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery but I'll stay with the original.
Look at Santana's videos if you want to see a GREAT video....suerte

ˇViva Santana! Instrumentally, I think it's a pretty decent cover, and I'm a Santana fan. The percussion is very well done, bravo! My criticism would be that the vocals need a lot of work.

I have never seen a video that has be on you tube over 3 years and has had less than 5000 hits, wonder where the band is today? Their last song was
" do you want to super size your order"

Greetings. There have been some issues with the video. I found out several times that the video was no working, somebody was using the window of the video, but after clicking on it, it would take people to somebody else video. Somebody had the idea of setting another, ( same video on a different Web/side), on the side of the original one, ( diluting the number of clicks). Gerry Zaragemca

Greetings. This is the whole story of the project. Salvador, ( Argentinian), was a teenage when, 'Santana,' did a tour in his country and it blow him out. He came to the U. S. A., many years later and wanted to do this project. He was looking for people here in Houston to set the project and some people told him that I was the person he need to see. I was working in a Show/Band, and he came to the place and in the break, told me about this project. We agree that when he would be ready he would call me. A few years after, he contact me again, ( I already forgot about), and told me that he was ready and that he got some people, ( Marcos/ guitar), the bass player, and that the percussion was going to be my whole responsibility. I did the audition for the drummers and percussionists. We lost the first drummer, ( because family problems), and I did another audition for a new one. I have to be in charge also of teaching the bass player the swing/feeling of the music, ( because he never play Latin Music. Marcos, ( lead Guitar), has a gifted memory, ( he memorized all the songs, including the, Studio and live/version of the guitar/solos). I brought in my best conga student at that time, ( Steve), and we blowed everyplace in which we performed, ( including, Fitzgerald's), at Houston. We were playing around the schedule of my other band, so at one point I have to find my replecement and I was sending my other students, ( as needed), to support the project. Salvador, ( keyboarts player), could no play anymore and was replaced and after that I lost contact with the band, ( my main contact which the band was Salvador and Marcos. Salvador was no longer in the U.S.A., ( some Visas problems), and Marcos, for some reasons had to change his phone number, so I lost contact with the band. I did my share of playing with Mexican Bands, ( from 1981 to around 1985,), there are a lot of good bands in Mexico, ( including Costa Chica). Gerry Zaragemca
