Hello, I'm new to this forum...hoping to spend the winter in Mexico this year on a tourist visa. While I am in the country, I hope to be able to do some research on presenting Seminars in Mexico. I wonder if anyone on these boards would know what the legalities are on this. We would advertise and sell tickets from out of the country -- we would rent a venue in the appropriate city and hire a Mexican firm to do the simultaneous translation (as the seminars are conducted in English). We would probably hire a Mexican consultant as well. Are there any special hoops that the seminar presenter (who is American, btw) would have to jump through in order to give his talk? He would be paid in the US, and paid from Canada. Or any special hoops for me as the organizer/producer? I would think this is comparable to say, a rock band from the US playing a show in Mexico. Any ideas what is required? Thanks for any help! Best regards/Beverley
