Hello,
I am thinking about visiting Xel Ha for a day. Since
it looks to be far away from any major city, I would
like to stay at a cheap local hotel, preferably less than 20 mins away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, tony

You will be within 20 minutes--or less-- of Tulum and there are lots of hotels there. From cabañas on the beach to 2-3 star hotels.

There are only 120 Km inbetween Cancun and Tulum , and Xel-ha is inbetween Playa del Carmen and Tulum..if you are camping you could stay at Bahias Soliman a beautiful spot just 3 km past Xel-ha it also has bays , "sisters " to the bays at Xel-ha
