I doubt if you'll need an electric blanket. True, we're having a cool snap right now, but it'll heat up nicely soon (my prediction). Weather is a bit unpredictable this year. I heard we had the warmest February in 20 years.
You can maybe get an electric blanket at Sears or Francia de Fabrica, but it will cost a lot more than in U.S. Some folks find that a heating pad is sufficient to warm up the bed. Our days are quite warm, so residences don't get very cold at night. My opinion.
