Research on Expatriates in Merida

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hello everyone! My name is Jillian and I spent six months living in Merida in 2008-2009, attending Technologia Turistica Total. I have been back multiple times visitng family (I am Joanna Rosado's niece) and now am in my fourth year at Capilano University in Vancouver studying Business Tourism Management. I'm conducting my graduating research paper about expatriates in Merida and need to do some primgary research. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me out by filling out a quick survey? it would only take approximately 10 minutes of your time and I would really appreciate it! if you have any questions feel free to message me here, or send me an email at jillianvandergracht@my.capilanou.ca

If you are interested in filling in this survey, this is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QLJW8JK. All of your information would be confidential and would only be used for the purpose of this research.

I chose to do my research paper on expatriate life in Merida, as it was difficult finding much information on this topic. Hopefully this research will shed some light on the subject.

Jillian,
Do you realize that almost half of your questions do not include any answer options that fit expats who are married to Mexicans? Many expats in Merida are here because they married Yucatecans, and these Yucatecans choose only to live in Merida. e.g. Myself and other expats married to Yucatecans would personally choose other cities in Mexico with cooler climates (versus the upcoming surface-of-the-sun temperature April - June months) and we would choose other cities in Mexico with more employment and more cultural opportunities if we were not married to Yucatecans.

Is your intent to survey only tourists and only expats who have retired here?
