Oaxaca RV Park

We're looking to stay several months at the Felipe Del Aqua Trailer Park beginning in early Dec. Anyone know if the Park is functioning this year? Also,we'd appreciate any personal reports from experience with the park.

Are there other alternatives near Oaxaca?

The trailer park you mentioned is not one of my favorites. When we stayed there the tinaco had no lid and there were birds playing in the water. There was open sewage . The water pressure was so low I could not get the water to rise high enough to fill my tank. The park is in an inconvenient location. I understand that now a bus does run to the front gate. The owner has these 150 lb. dogs that deficate all over the park. You did not state the size of your rig. When we stayed there we were in truck campers and still it was hard to maneuver the road to the park. But some smaller 5th wheels did make it. I am told that there is a newer road that can handle bigger rigs. But the park is intended for small units. The Oaxaca trailer park has been around for years. The office still has Wally Byam stickers from the 60's. Unfortunately the owner has built office buildings on the park site and it is down to about 20 usable sites. It is close to bus routes and a big supermarket. Laundromat across the street. 10 minutes to downtown. When we stayed there this past winter the electricity was off as the owner had not paid the bill!! It came on the next day. We have stayed there many times and in spite of being run down we really like the park. Very safe neighbourhood. The young man that caretakes is very helpfull. I was even able to stick my wifi antenna out the window and use an open network to get my email. There is an internet cafe a few blocks away. It is too bad that in most large cities ( away from the coast) there are no good RV parks.
