Manuel lives, most of the year, in Guadalajara. Hound Dog spends time living between Ajiic and San Cristobol, Chiapas, where Manuel spend some time, in early years, working. How difficult would it be for you, two, to meet up, physically? No distance at all. Sort out or celebrate your differences. Get drunk together or get into a brawl. Get 'real' with each other. Personally, over the years, I made arrangements, some elaborate, some quite simple to meet in person, anyone living in Mexico,or elsewhere, that I wanted to get to know, from 'hanging' with, over the internet. Generally speaking, the relationships were rewarding, and memorable, however how long or brief. To anyone, who declines to meet face-to-face and sort things up-close and personal, the relationship hovers in 'no-man lands'. This up-close and personal thingee, that is an attribute of Mexican culture, was a world of education for me,in years, gone by, coming from an Anglo-background. This education also provides a personal perspective on current Mexican events. Even if I live,in Canada. There isn't a day, that I don't think, worry, feel................about my family/friends in Mexico. And what, if anything, I can contribute to their safety and well-being.
