I am interested in finding out information about Juchila, Oaxaca and the area between there and Puerto Escondido with an altitude above 4500 ft. I know this may be alot to ask on this forum. Even though I lived in Puerto Escondido for 2 years in the 1980's, I never once investigated this area. Now, I am trying to find locations on the Pacific Coast with altitude of 4500 ft. or above, but yet have relatively short driving distances to the ocean. I will be visiting Puerto E. again this fall for the first time since 1986, but thought I might get some info ahead of time. I am interested in driving times and road conditions in the Juchila/Puerto Escondido area, political climate, reports of crime, actual altitudes, climate descriptions, real estate or rentals, other extranjeros in the area, or any info or opinions that anyone feels is relevant. As I said this may be alot to ask and many may be as inexperinced as I am in the area north of Puerto Escondido. Thankyou in advance.
