HELP - Need Cheap Airfare for Daughter from Cancun

My daughter will be trying to leave from Cancun on Aug 10 or 11 (yes I know short notice). Does anyone know of a cheap consolidator or travel agent in Cancun to buy a 1 way ticket to NYC area? She speaks Spanish rather well. Purchasing a ticket from NY (outside Mex) is expensive. Evidently, it may be much cheaper to buy from within Mex. Appreciate any ideas yoiu have. Many thanks.

Simply for everyone's info, although all the fares I saw from Cancun/NYC were about $600+, my daughter went to a certain airline's ticket counter at the CUN airport and asked the fare for a same day flight. The agent said $500 and my daughter (somehow) proceeded to argue the fare down to $325 (I saw the charge card receipt). So it seems that if one can or is willing to take a chance on last minute airport negotiations, it appears that lower fares can be had. If I did not see the receipt I may have been doubtful.

Can anyone tell me how to buy cheap plane tickets
from Cancun to Oaxaca, or San Cristobal, and
then on to Mexico City?
