Cancun area housing

Hi, I live in Bucerias, Nayarit, a small town near Puerto Vallarta. I have a neighbor whose husband is finishing a contract here and has a new job in the Cancun area, Punto Sam, I think the area is called. The new contract will be 8 - 10 years
They are Canadian and he is a concrete construction superintendant. She would like advice on areas to live. They would prefer a house over a condo and would like a neighborhood feel. I think they would like to rent, at least to start.
Any advice on bulletin boards to post for help, people living in the area who could give advice?

Yes, there is a lot of construction going on north of Punta Sam inthe new "Playa Mujeres" area. Some good local boards are
