Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent in Cozumel?

I'm not just looking for the usual desirable real estate agent traits of honesty, reliability, etc.

We want to restore abandoned properties ecologically in the process of redeveloping them. So, we need an agent with good government contacts, such as with economic development and environmental agencies. Someone with a personal passion for the environment would be especially good. Thanks!

Rely more on recommendations of actual clients and less on internet and forum posts in general.

As usual it's all about the amount of money involved.

We used a lawyer who came highly recommended, but as the property was not ocean frontage and therefore priced at a lower amount, the lawyer chose not to give us the same level of service as the more expensive properties, even though the rate we payed for his services was the same as what those more expensive properties would pay.

We found a definite pecking order, with more expensive properties receiving superior service.

It;s been a long day Still getting over the non stop flight from Cancun to Vancouver BC'

If they make those seats any smaller, I will have to go on a serious diet,

On a side note, was the Cancun airport ever busy !!! WOW
