Can anyone recommend a good dentist in Cancun?

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hi, folks: My wife and I will be arriving in Cancun on December 1 for five weeks in Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

We won't be spending any time in Cancun, but I need to have a crown replaced, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a dentist.

Many thanks! - Storm

I can recommend excellent dentists in Playa del Carmen and in Merida. If one of those locations will work for you, send me an IM.

Thanks. Playa del Carmen will probably be more convenient, even though we will be spending a week in Merida. The crowns need to be done in two visits, and two trips to Playa del Carmen will be easier. Cheers!

I suppose it doesn't matter if I post his information here. He's a good dentist and a good guy. His office has all services and the work is first rate.

Dr Rubén Gonzalez Alba
(984)873- 0963

His office is near the corner of 4th st and 10th Ave in central Playa. I had 3 implants done there as well as crowns and regular dentistry over about 6 years. I haven't been back since I moved to Merida but I'm fairly sure he is still in the same location. His wife is also a dentist and there is another partner in the office. All are excellent. He speaks English, the other partner dentist Alicia speaks excellent English and his wife who is a specialist speaks a little English. I am not sure how good Dr Ruben's english is as I always dealt with him in Spanish but I generally spoke English with Dra Alicia, I believe she lived in the US for a time. They have up to date equipment and it's a very clean and well kept office.
